Author Guidelines
- Introduction
InFact: Computer International Journal (ICIJ) is a scientific journal published by the Faculty of Science and Computer, Universitas Kristen Immanuel Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is published biannually in January and August. - General Guidelines
The general writing guidelines for articles submitted to this journal include: - Articles are written in English.
- The minimum length of the article is six pages.
- Manuscripts must adhere to the journal’s provided template and include a Copyright Statement upon acceptance.
- At least 80% of references should be sourced from journal articles.
- Detailed Article Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to the InFact: Computer International Journal (ICIJ) must follow the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Method, Result, and Discussion). - Title: The title must indicate the subject identity, research objectives, and keywords.
- Author Name: The author’s name should be presented without academic titles, followed by their institutional affiliation, address, and email.
- Abstract: The abstract should be 100-150 words in Indonesian and English. It must summarize the problem, research gap, objectives, methods, results, and main conclusions.
- Keywords: The keywords in English should consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of five words derived from the significant terms in the title and/or abstract. These keywords should be specific and reflective of the article's content.
- Introduction: The introduction must contain the background of the problem, previous research or state-of-the-art relevant to the conducted research, identification of the research gap that distinguishes this study from previous ones, and clearly defined research objectives. Articles cited as state-of-the-art should be from the last five years and published in journals or proceedings.
- Method: The methods section should outline the stages of the research conducted. For better comprehension, it is recommended that these stages be represented visually through a flowchart or block diagram. This section must also explain the data used, the research process, and the evaluation stages undertaken to measure the success of the research.
- Results and Discussion: This section should present the research findings and discuss them in relation to the objectives outlined in the introduction. The data and discussions must be logically connected, leading to a focused conclusion.
- Conclusion: The conclusion should briefly summarize the essential findings and interpret them in relation to the research objectives, avoiding repeating the results.
- References and Citation Guidelines
Citations must adhere to the IEEE style, utilizing reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or similar software to ensure consistency in formatting. The number of references must correspond to the number of sources cited within the article.
