EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI ANTIPLATELET GANDA DENGAN KOMBIASI CLOPIDOGREL DAN ASPIRIN PADA PASIEN DENGAN RIWAYAT PENYAKIT STROK ISKEMIK : LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

Ischemic stroke is a type of stroke caused by local thrombus formation or an embolic phenomenon, resulting in sudden blockage of a cerebral artery. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of dual antiplatelet therapy with a combination of clopidogrel and aspirin. This literature review searched Indonesian- and English-language journal articles in the Google Scholar and PubMed databases. The inclusion criteria were articles selected on the basis of the search keywords and published within the last 10 years (2014-2024). The results showed that combination therapy in ischemic stroke patients had effectiveness not much different from monotherapy. Dual antiplatelet therapy can reduce the risk of recurrent events, while its bleeding risk remains relatively safe.
